Apple: revolutionizing the way we listen to music since 2001

Funny the same company that is losing the most to Apple, once denied the idea of innovating the original iPod… *shakes head*

Apple >

oh well… you know what it is!

1st generation iPod ((2001))

^^ the FIRST model, with mechanical scroll wheel. 10 GB model released later… came out in 2001, well damn! I remember how hard it was losing my brother that year and how listening to his favorite music made me feel.. #newmillenniumflow

2nd generation iPod ((2002))

Touch-sensitive wheel. FireWire port had a cover. Hold switch revised. Windows compatibility through Musicmatch. #basic

skipped out ona few of these joints…. ACTUALLY

3rd generation iPod ((2003))

First complete redesign with all-touch interface, dock connector, and slimmer case. Musicmatch support dropped with later release of iTunes 4.1 for Windows.

4th generation iPod ((2004))

Adopted Click Wheel from iPod Mini, hold switch redesigned.

^^ heard “Gotta Have It” by State Property ((Trackfiends)) + begged Pops to hook a sista up sophomore year of high school… omJAH too syced ^^

4th generation iPod w/ COLOR!

Premium spin-off of 4G iPod with color screen and picture viewing. Later re-integrated into main iPod line.

^^ this was my second ipod, being that I had the 1st 4th generation for about 6 months until Apple happily replaced it! #hustlehard ^^

5th generation iPod ((2005))

Second full redesign with a slimmer case, and larger screen with video playback. Offered in black or white. Hardware and firmware updated with 60 GB model replaced with 80 GB model on 12 September 2006.

6th generation iPod ((2007)) CLASSIC

Introduced the “Classic” suffix. New interface and anodized aluminum front plate. Silver replaces white. In September 2008 the hardware and firmware was updated with a 120 GB model replacing the 80 GB model and the 160 GB model was discontinued. In September 2009 the 120GB model was replaced with a 160GB model.

^^ had dis joint as well.. If you’re an avid Apple user like I am, you would know that AppleCare comes in HANDY! or Best Buy’s insurance plan, actually. I’m pretty sure, I’ve only purchased 1-2 ipods, not sure how I ended up with 5-6. #vanityslave ^^

please note: Classic, Touch iPod > Nano, Mini, Shuffle iPod… in fact, I’ve never had the latter, so don’t even listen to me..

Regardless, erybody need iPod!

on to the NEXT..
